Softball

Our church has a softball team every summer, and this is the first summer that we have been around to be part of it. Now, this might not surprise anyone, but I am not very sporty. Ok, I'm not sporty AT ALL. But somehow, I was convinced by Charlie and other friends from church that I should join the team. And I do like the fact that I can do something with Charlie that he really enjoys (and he is AMAZING at). With help from lots of sweet people, I actually was able to hit the ball on a couple of occassions. It's definitely a struggle for me, but I guess it's good to do things that don't come easily once in awhile.

Where was I getting? So yesterday, Charlie was playing a really good game and then all of the sudden he felt a pop in his hamstring. He pulled it really badly, but apparently he heals super fast because he stood on it all day and he can walk around still. Conclusion: Sports are dangerous, even on the "leisure league." I vote for singing instead.
